I don’t even have words to describe the beauty, love and care that surrounds this lush space. Thank you Nathan for an incredible weekend of indulgence, relaxation and nourishment. I felt nurtured from the moment we arrived with the most heartfelt consideration that has been put into every detail. The uplifting and warming teas, the delicious and healthy soul food, the enchanting lighting, the exquisite accommodation… I could go on and on. And of course the obvious perfection of the earthen sauna and hot tub under the stars. Blissful, divine yumminess on every level. I can’t wait to return.

I arrived at dusk with a group of women; my friends said we were going for a sauna up the road from where I live in Warburton. When I got out of the car and entered into the enchanting gardens lit by fairylights and the exquisite hand-built landscape, I turned to my friends in disbelief – how come I never knew about this majestic, precious place? I wandered the paths in a daze of happiness. Then I met Nathan, and understood more of why this place is so special – his care, calmness, kindness and love of beauty infuses every inch of his creation. And I never knew because, after fifteen years of creation, he has only just opened it to the public. I’m so grateful for his commitment to this stunning vision – thank you for the extraordinary gift you have given.

This is out of the league of bed and breakfasts and fancy hotels. This felt like an experience of pure love. The place is steeped with Nathan’s gentle heart welcome, every carefully constructed wooden post reverberates with the pace of slow heart creation. This man lives surrounded by a sea of trees at a pace about a thousand heart beats slower than city living. And in his gentle unassuming way he has created little abodes with which to offer this elixir of slow receptivity to his city guests.

Right down to the careful ornamentation on the outdoor wood heated hot tub, the wood sculpted door on the clay built sauna, and the main house overgrown with nature and love, this place reverberates joy and serenity in every corner.

It’s the perfect place to go alone or with your husband, to spend the day gently communing with the forest, eating delicious healthy food and culminating in a dreaming hot tub under the stars.

The breakfast was exquisite, every morsel artfully put together from the garden, beetroot ‘love salad’, poached eggs on a bed of risotto and a fresh selection of specially picked greens, with the chooks who provided the eggs, contentedly clucking in the background.

The property is off the grid, a great place for garden enthusiasts to come to learn, and find inspiration. Every practical adaptation to off the grid living has been created with art and love, right down to the composting ‘throne’ a toilet with a private view of an entire sea of forest. The authentic gypsy caravan does have a doorway built for people of the authentic height of gypsies, beautifully nourishing for the soul to spend a night in a genuinely sweet fairytale abode. Other accommodation includes the loft room, the perfect artists retreat or family room.

It is filled with light and artfully built with natural timbers. It contains a glorious loft bed, an abundant natural desk or visioning space and a cute elaborately furnished couch or children’s corner. The Princely bell tent is lusciously decked out and has a panoramic view of forest, so you awake to royal cloths and natures breeze. My favourite part of the whole experience was to snooze gently with nature, uninterrupted from my own inner dream space.

After staying here with a friend in April it has taken until now to write a review because I thought maybe if I visited again the words to give justice to Natural Healing Space might come.
After my third visit last weekend I still lack the expression to encapsulate how it makes me feel when I am there.

It’s a dream space for me, like something I dreampt up as child, it is magic, lush and loving.
Nathan is so humble, so warm and so welcoming. He attends so lovingly and so gently to his guests. His nature reverberates through the living space and throughout the property.

Each guest space has its own unique feel, its hard to choose a favourite. The clay sauna is something extra special, the hot tub under the stars and roaring open fire create a heaven on earth.
The food, chocholate chai’s, smoothies, coconut water, lemon grass tea, raw desserts and everything that Nathan touches is pure delightfullness, I am truly in awe of him and the vision he has brought to life.

I feel so blessed to have been invited to be a guest here and can not recommend it enough.

Natural Healing Space is my ideal get away, there are so many divine details that need to be experienced and felt . You are guaranteed a sublime and enchanted experience.

Natural Healing Space –
What Nathan has created is amazing. A beautiful and majestic Eco retreat, complete with off-grid solar power, slow combustion stove hot water on-demand (and it’s hot in the shower!), wood fires and ever lasting stars.

The space provides an opportunity of comfort and ease surrounded by peaceful mountains on all sides, with a view that I can only imagine is akin to what the Birds can see.

Go on stunning walks over long lost gold-mining rivers behind the property,
Soak up a winters day in the outside hot tub under the clouds,
Sweat away the layers in the hand-made round-some Cob sweat-lodge,
Feast on a bounty of home-cooked, divine, body and soul nourishing, warming, tasty and healthy food,
Or simply lay down under the sunshine, on a rug outside in the gardens.

We will definitely be back!, and I recommend the place to everyone I know, especially when I overhear people talking about “a place to get away” or “does anyone know a great Eco-retreat just an hour or so out of Melbourne?”.
I always tell them to look up Natural Healing Space.

Our time at Natural Healing Space was filled with lovingly prepared food and drink fresh from the garden, hot baths outside under the beautiful trees, walks around the property, massage and a sauna.

Nathan is such a gracious host that everything felt easy and joyful for him. He invited us fully into his home, hearth and heart-space which was nurturing in every way.

As soon as we walked in I could feel myself slow down, get quiet and soak up the loving vibe. Its the intention behind everything which is the clincher for me. Plenty of things these days say ‘made with love’, but Nathan’s Healing Space really is. It’s the kind of nurturing that goes in deep and stays. Money can buy luxury, but its a rare find to be welcomed into someones heart and truly cared for during one’s stay.

I was blessed to attend the Winter Winter Sauna this month and wowswers!!! If you have not experienced this stunning space and the overwhelmingly beautiful hosting and welcome that is offered by Nathan, than please, do yourself a favour.. I do not know any place like it.. it is infused with love, nurture and bliss! Thank you Nathan for your offering.. It truly is a Natural Healing Space!
